Pastor Erin Wyma
We are thrilled to welcome Pastor Erin Wyma as our new Senior Pastor at St. Matthew UCC,
as of November 1, 2022. She will first preside over a service on Sunday, November 6th, and we hope you will join us after the November 13th service for a special welcome brunch for Pastor Erin.
About Pastor Erin
Pastor Erin last served at the largest open and affirming UCC church – Cathedral of Hope UCC in Dallas, Texas – since 2016. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1993, and her Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2006.
She was born in Southern California, where she spent her entire childhood. She has always loved being a part of a church community and feels it has always been the place that gave her sacred traditions, an extended family and a deepening sense of service to the wider community.
She felt called to full time pastoral ministry in 2001 at a worship conference. In 2009 she received her first call into full time ministry in the United Church of Christ and was ordained in 2011.
Pastor Erin’s greatest passion is to share the transformative love of God. She is deeply passionate about advocacy, activism, and community building.
